Cake Pops And Cupcakes 101

People who have a knack for desserts know that the most 'in' desserts at present are the cake pops and cupcakes.

Cake Pops are cake and frosting all balled up in one, hand dipped in candy coating and covered in décor and served on a stick like a lollipop. In order to create this dessert, you would have to prepare a cake mix, frosting, candy melts, colored sprinkles, colored icing tubes, and candy eye balls for aesthetics purposes. First up, you'd have to make a cake of your own preference. After that you place 2 cups of frosting in the bowl and put the two together. With this batter, you create small balls about 3-4 tablespoons each. Once you're done creating the balls, you place them inside a refrigerator for an hour or two or in a freezer or about thirty minutes. While waiting for this, you can start melting the candy in the microwave. Once done, you have to dip a lollipop stick in the melted candy. After that, you get the pops from the refrigerator and push the stick two thirds through the pops. To finish off, you need to put the entire cake pop into the melted candy and wait for it to dry. Now, you already have your very own cake pops.

Next up are the irresistible cupcakes. Cakes and cupcakes are quite the same considering the fact that cupcakes are just cakes that are small in size, baked inside aluminum containers. What you’ll need in order to create this masterpiece are some butter, sugar, eggs, flour, vanilla extract, milk, food colouring and icing sugar. Plus you’ll need some sprinkles, and other balls and petals that can be used as designs.

First off when making cupcakes is preheating the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. You should now get a bowl to be your container for the mixture of flour, baking powder, cocoa and sugar. Get another bowl and combine the eggs, milk and oil. Put together the contents of the two bowls. Once you're done mixing, you pour the mixture into the muffin liners in the pan through the use of a spoon, with about one third of the paper as allowance for the rising of the cupcakes.

It's now appropriate to heat the pan in the oven for about ten minutes. Once the ten minutes is up, you can utilize a tooth pick to check if the cupcakes are really cooked. When the cupcakes are already cooked, you take the pan away from the oven and allow the cupcakes to cool for one hour. You can now spend time decorating the cakes with sugar paste, icing and sprinkles. Once done, you already have cool cupcakes worthy for a Cake Blog.
